As teachers we design lessons in which we use technology to enhance our teaching. These lessons are based upon the standards set by the Department of Education in Missouri. Our responsibility as teachers is to become familiar with the curriculum expectations at the grade levels in which we are interested in teaching. The responsibility of teachers is to providing lessons aligned to Missouri grade level curriculum. This lecture will address how we find the standards that align to the curriculum we teach at our specific grade levels and how we focus our lessons on the standard.
Teachers, parents and community leaders have all weighed in to help create the Missouri Learning Standards. The standards clearly communicate what is expected of students at each grade level. This will allow our teachers to be better equipped to know exactly what they need to help students learn and establish individualized benchmarks for them.
We will use this site to help us Identify Standards at your preferred grade or content area. You will find a content standard on a topic and use it to find technology that matches the content standard.

Tonight for our Lab activity we will be identifying the Missouri Learning Standard that will accompany the digital lesson that we will be creating using Prezi. You will identify your content area and find a standard that aligns with a topic of your choice in that content area. You will need to identify the grade level for which you wish to design a sample lesson. This lesson will need to follow the assignment guidelines as well as the Prezi Rubric.
